Gateway Marriott Hotel at GICC

This eight-story 315,000 SF hotel is a major component of the Gateway Center Development in College Park, Georgia with a direct transit link to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The project is conveniently situated next to the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) and an Automated People Mover (APM) transit system station serving both the airport and its car rental facility. The hotel offers 385 guestrooms, eighteen hospitality and luxury suites, a 100 seat Champions restaurant, 40,300 SF of conference space, a 327 car parking deck and a number of amenities including an enclosed swimming pool, fitness center, business center, executive conference area, restricted-use concierge lounge, and a state-of-the-art teleconferencing facility.

CD+M designed lighting for all of the interior public spaces and exterior facades, landscape and pool decks for this dynamic business hotel.

Named as the “America’s Hotel of the Year” in 2012 by Marriott Hotels & Resorts, this was one of the first LEED Silver-certified properties in Marriott’s system.
