W Yas Island

This stunning property launched as the only hotel in the world to be located atop a Grand Prix racetrack was designed by New York-based Asymptote Architecture. Originally opened to the public in 2009, it has recently rebranded as the W Yas Island Hotel. Guests are greeted by Bedouin-inspired tents, large columns and seating inspired by local mangroves, while the hotel’s 499 guest rooms and suites offer plush amenities and floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views of the racetrack and the Yas Marina.

Working with acclaimed interior designer Lulie Fisher Design Studio, architecture firm DWP and the engineering team at WME, CD+M designed the lighting for interiors of this stunning renovation.
