King Abdullah University of Science & Technology

Built on the coastline of the Red Sea, the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology is a 36 million SM university, commercial and residential complex. KAUST’s campus is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s first LEED certified project and the world’s largest LEED Platinum project, comprised of a range of academic buildings, research facilities and labs, innovation and technology centers, convention facilities, mosques, recreation areas and residences.

CD+M’s site and master plan lighting design for the project included roads, parking, landscaping, iconic architecture and public art. The site is ultimately slated to accommodate more than 20,000 people.
