The Turner Lynch Campus Center at Oglethorpe University, which opened in August 2013, has been recognized for design excellence, winning first place in the education and research category of the 2014 International Interior Design Association‘s “Best of the Best” Awards, and a Higher Education Award of Merit for construction and design achievements by ENR Southeast.
Designed by Collins Cooper Carusi Architects to serve an expanding on-campus and commuting student population, the Turner Lynch Campus Center serves a vital role in student life. Inside the building is a cozy and warm contemporary fireplace, conference rooms, offices and a dining hall replete with Starbucks. The facility occupies the space between academics and student life, both physically and symbolically, where students can come together in a place that is all their own, to dine, collaborate, play and relax in a community.
